Welcome to a new year at the Dragon Hole!
2015 ended really well, I ran my first Christmas Jewellery party for 7 lovely ladies as a present from one of the gentlemen in their lives!
I went and set up on the dining table at his home, and then the ladies arrived, bearing cards and gifts and entering to the wonderful smells emanating from the kitchen!
A glass of wine, a chat and then we were off.
Step by step each lady chose their favourite colours and beads, laid out patterns and tried different arrangements and finally created their own personalised piece of jewellery that they took home ready to wear on Christmas day.
The evening included lots of chatting, plenty of laughing and even a quick game of charades from the Christmas crackers!

If you fancy having your own jewellery party for whatever reason, maybe a birthday or even a wedding check out the workshops!
I took delivery of a beautiful pile of glass at the beginning of the month having decided that the fifteen or so colours I had just weren't good enough!
I inadvertently picked out some of the same colours as the Pantone colours for 2016, so that's a good start. I've had a quick play for my uni course, building up a core of techniques, but may start making some of them to make into jewellery. Let me know what you think in the comments.

I'm off now to hopefully sort out an order of sheet glass! I have developed a fox sun catcher pattern and typically I have no glass suitable to make him! Think of going out for the evening and having nothing to wear - that's what it's like when you get into the glass!!
Maybe next month I shall be able to post him here depending on uni schedules, keep your eyes peeled!
