Well, April left in an absolute blur, and now we're at the end of May so I have two months to catch up on!
We did have a problem with our internet for ten days throughout May.
After much pressing of reset buttons, removing power then reinstating it and sucking through my teeth I finally called BT who sent out an engineer to test our equipment (which was fine), test the line (which was fine) and then check on the exchange box (which has in previous years been damaged by rain, vandals and being crashed into by cars) to find that another engineer had disconnected us!!
So another call to BT to get a refund for the tine we were disconnected for and had the grand total of................£0.55 back!!!!
YAY!!!
So after an enforced break from the computer and Facebook, I decided to see the rest of the month out too and focus on college work and preparing for two craft events that were due at the end of the month.

So after an enforced break from the computer and Facebook, I decided to see the rest of the month out too and focus on college work and preparing for two craft events that were due at the end of the month.
The first of these was in Hartlebury, an event organised by the Crafty Ladies. It was a fun afternoon, on a gorgeous sunny day. I took my table and filled it with lovely things, and managed to snaffle a small table for a childrens earring making activity.
They had a bouncy castle, lucky dips and tombolas, and a couple of good craft stalls and cake, loads of cake!!!
The next event is just a week away, an evening supper. Fortunately I have plenty of things left, so can focus this week on a deadline for college

I am looking at maps and journeys, so have been creating bonkers little shapes to try and represent the symbols that you get on traditional maps that show places of interest. While the bottom picture isn't a great image, it shows including blobs of glass in circles of wire which I shall be turning into stylised flowers to represent the places I have visited. This project has been a bit fraught - I lost four weeks due to doing work experience - and I didn't really hit on a theme until ten days ago! That meant working on a ten week project in just three, from initial ideas, through experimentation to a final outcome, it's been hard work! Roll on June 2, it'll all be handed in and sorted! |
And that's it for this month. I have just four days to complete my project, so I'm cracking on. Happy June lovely internet people, see you at the end of the month!!
